In compliance with the ministerial guidelines, the main objective of the high school Maria Ausiliatrice is “the process of growth and development of human beings by the personal internalization and critical processing of knowledge, skills and behaviors.”

The school’s educational and culture profile makes the acquired dimensions of knowledge, doing and action clear, depicts the educational characteristics of schooling as regards the skills that we think are useful to teenagers so that they can make autonomous choices, attend university or enter the labor market.

In particular, in reference to the new law on compulsory education (law No. 296 of December 27, 2006) the European and Italian legislations are taken into account as regards cultural areas in relation to disciplinary skills.

In the school of autonomy the didactic choices and evaluations have a great relevance since they are carried out respecting the rhythms and styles of learning of each student. Therefore, the educational strategies and didactic methodologies used aim at improving the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process of each student, thus promoting successful learning and maturation.

To this end some experiences, which have already been implemented in the previous two school years, are activated in order to promote the acquisition and development of learning strategies through the creation of personalized study programs under the supervision of tutors.

The teaching-learning process incorporates commonly used methods and strategies of lab- and project- based didactics.
